Why does California seem absent of common sense?

Attempting to ensure only those voting are those who do it correctly and legally is somehow wrong? And then we get the typical left wing talking points how requiring i.d. is merely a guise of keeping certain people away from the polls? The same talking heads won't mention how these people need some sort of identification for many things in their lives. I believe the only people who should be allowed to vote are those who work/pay income tax or someone owning property.

California and common sense don't go well together, that's why we have people like Jerry Brown, Schwarzeneggar and Villaretardo as our leaders. You can seriously drive out to the San Gabriel Valley and look down on L.A. and just watch it decay, it's what we do on weekends.

Don't pay any attention to anyone from Oakland btw, the city is run by "progressive" people who want to be fair and liberal and are always sanctimonious about their hippy roots and utopian ideals but that city is one of the biggest hellholes this side of the Mississippi, run down crime ridden hole in the earth, it makes L.A. look like absolute heaven.
