    Default Super Hang-On

Super Hang-On was released in 1989 for the Sega Genesis and was one of the first motercycle racing games ever released for that system. SHO is a port of the arcade game of the same name (obviously.)

I agree. This game is loads of fun.
To this day I like the way the motorcycle bends and the overall feel of the gameplay.

And I totally agree with the score.

One of Sega's first good Genesis arcade ports, after the disappointing "Super Thunder Blade". Of course, the frame rate's been halved and the game feels overall sluggish on the Genesis, but it plays well and has added replay value with that original mode.

It is sluggish but once you hit the boosters you do feel the speed.

I love the "Original" mode in this game. I remember during holiday break 1990 playing the crap out of that mode. I still remember the last password the "Original" mode gives you after you complete it. I guess it's a good thing I can still remember it since I cannot stand playing the "Arcade" mode without inputting it first.

What's up with the horrible input delay on steering? I find it inplayable.

Exactly the same with regards to the original mode. SHO was one of the first MD games I ever got and I spent ages working through that mode in the game.
To be this good takes AGES, to be this good takes SEGA!

that's just they way it plays. it actually works quite well if you get used to it. it's intentionally designed that way

This game is all about the music for me. Love those old Sega tunes!

    Yep!
Have you ever ride a GP-like moto? It's really heavy boys... You can't turn right and left in 0.5 seconds.

The music kicks ass in this game. Which do you prefer? The Genesis BGMs or the Arcade's? Genesis tunes all the way for me!

I played the Genesis game first so I'm biased towards those. Also the arcade game is way harder because you actually have to lean!

Nice. I have the Super Hang-On, OutRun and After Burner 2 OST's burned to a CD and listen to them when I drive. I can't play too much AB2 though as that results in me feeling the need for speed. Which then would result in a hefty speeding ticket.
