I thought this would be interesting - an article covering some of the innovative and clever programming tricks that various developers used to make the Genesis shine. But I'm not qualified to write it. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

While it is very interesting stuff, I can't imagine how you'd begin to structure an article around it as a subject on its own, without being really rambling.

Ask Tim Rogers. :P
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Tim Rodgers embraces incoherent rambling. While that's great for the stuff he writes, a "real" article with the intent to inform on a specific subject, wouldn't be good for that.

You mean things like blast processing, shading techniques to give the illusion of more colors, etc? That'd be cool. It'd require some great research though.
And vectors, whatever they did for the SSFII cart, etcetera. Yes.
I'm moving this to Contributor's Corner so more people can see it.
It sounds like a wonderful idea to me, but as I said, it would require a good deal of research. Let me know if you need any help on it; I'd be glad to help out.
Well, if I'm going to write this, then, can anyone direct me to some websites that detail this sort of 16-bit tech?
Like I said, I'm really not qualified, though, so if someone else could do this that would be much better.
I know a good deal about this stuff, but... I just wouldn't know how to make an article of it. If you want some help or something, I'd be glad to assist.
If you could PM me with some info/links, that would be superb.
