i've seen pics of TmEE's model 2 mod to remove TMSS, but is there a way to do it on a model 1? why isn't it as easy as just disconnecting a pin or trace?

I remember seeing a guide, a long while back, for removing TMSS on a model 1 - but I don't have the link, sorry..
