This is the epic and heart-wrenching tale about Gauntlet 4 and how it is so lonely. It just wants to fit in somewhere, but it was rejected by all of the other Genesis games. Can it fit in with the Sega CD or maybe the 32X games? What does the future hold for Gauntlet 4 other than loneliness?

and to be more of a jerk, I have to take issue with your whole premise...

The Team Player Adapter was nowhere to be seen, there is lots of love between G.4 and T.P.Adapter.
Throw Mega Bomberman into the mix, and you've got a virtua 3-some.

Awesome video . Poor Gauntlet IV (not 4 !!!), if Heavy Nova was accepted, why weren't you? I thought he would find shelter close to a relative (NES or SMS version for example), but being a fugitive among TG-16 games can't be that bad though.

I suspect the other Genesis games didn't accept Gauntlet IV, precisely because of Gauntlet IV's relationship with the Team Player adapter.
It's a tough life being a 4 player game on a 2-port console. All the other games are jealous.

and that must be why the Turbo games accepted it, they already have an inferiority complex based on their one-port console, so they thought they'd garner some status with Gauntlet IV in their ranks.

I now see Gauntlet IV is called Gauntlet 4 on the title screen, which is just wrong. Medieval/fantasy games should NOT use Arabic numbers.

Or maybe it was because the TG16 had a 5 port tap and GT4 being able to use a similar device, fit right in?

Zz Badnusty and Tom got it right. Notice that Gauntlet is parked right next to the 5 player Dungeon Explorer! (Might be a bit hard to see in the Youtube version)

Oh, and I chose that font for the picture because I wanted something so fancy that it is almost illegible. So fancy to wow you beyond belief. Like a fancy restaurant where it is $100,000 per plate. Soooo fancy.
