    Lightbulb Super Smash T.V.

At one time it seemed like the only way to find a decent game with the Acclaim logo was to look for one that belonged to another company, and even then it was hit or miss. Under the Flying Edge banner, the company did manage to produce some decent software, and along with successful arcade ports like NBA Jam, Acclaim made some strides towards decency. Another port it tossed our way was that of Williams incredibly popular Smash T.V. Adding a "super" to the name, it wasn't as pretty or customizable as its SNES sibling, but there was still much fun to be had. We have a full review of the game for you, sans the big money and prizes.

I LOVE THIS GAME! So addictive, quotable, and downright awesome.

The problem with these type of arcade shooters is that they are designed to eat up coins - you can take as many hits as you like, as long as you have coins in your pockets to continue. Limit the credits for the home version, limit the enjoyment. However, without worrying if you run out of lives, this game is lots of fun. Fond memories, and it has this 80s dystopia Running Man thing going.

How is this on the Genesis? Is it a faithful port?

pretty much close to the arcade original, as the review says. no slowdowns, awesome action, all weapons and extras are in the game. get this if you want a real entertaining 2-player-shooter....

I'd give this port as well as the arcade a 5/10 since it's too long and repetitive. I will admit that this game at least stayed faithful to the arcade it's based off of.
