You should check out the Genesis version of the MK3 stage fatality. Looks like the characters fall into one of those old-school radiators. I say that because the spikes are so small and few in size.

UMK3 on the PS is a better port IMO. I have played the Sega Gen port of UMK3. Doesn't look as good as the PS. Still enjoyable on the Gen though.

Maybe he means Saturn UMK3 or MKT on PS?

Does it require a Game Genie code or Action Replay code for the Sega Genesis version to work on the Sega Mega Drive? Was it the PAL console or the Japanese console?

One thing I like about the Sega Genesis version of UMK3 compared to the original MK3 is that you only need to enter one of the three cheat codes to get the cheat menus (entering any of the codes will let you gain access to all three). In MK3, the codes correspond to the following menus:

    Cheats: A, C, Up, B, Up, B, A, Down.
Secrets: B, A, Down, Left, A, Down, C, Right, Up, Down.
    Killer Codes: C, Right, A, Left, A, Up, C, Right, A, Left, A, Up.

Nearly all of the character endings can be viewed in the Sega Genesis version of UMK3 in one of the cheat menus. The only exceptions are:

    1. Sheeva (since she has been removed from the game)
    2. Human Smoke
    3. Classic Sub-Zero
    4. Chameleon (since he is an unfinished character)

Human Smoke, Chameleon, and Sheeva's bio screens are not present in the Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo versions of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

UMK3 is my favourite Mk, one of my favourite fighting games of all time and, as so, one of my favourite games of all time. Mainly because of the audiovisual presentation. Gameplay-wise, is good too, but unaware they added a lot of infinite combos in the system. And it's the best ported to Genesis too, a high level port.
