No posts. Spambots don't confirm their emails or pass human verification, so they can only browse. It's LOLs to check their profiles and see them trying to reply to or start threads. Since they're stuck in moderation, they can't do anything, so don't worry if you see the member list at the bottom of the main page filled with them. I can nuke 'em easily.

One got through the net and has made a post: http://www.sega-16.com/forum/member....426-Beckingham Don't be fooled by the pic in the profile; he's clearly a spambot - he's got the classic "spam link" in his sig and he's post is pure gibberish. EDIT: Is it possible someone's signing up and then turning them over to a spambot? There's quite a few accounts like this, waiting dormant. Could be something to keep an eye out for.

That was a definite spammer. Account deleted and ISP banned. Thanks!

There's a bunch more, but my fingers are getting tired from all the copy and pasting. Plus, more keep popping up as the user list refreshes! There's... too many of them!

    [Edit]A second username just popped-up:

    Notice, they're two different names.

... and that's what happens when you remove registration validation.

They shouldn't be able to create threads though. Let me check what's up.

I was just looking through the online users list. Half the names I clicked I was told I don't have permission to view. the other half contained the following spambots:

    http://www.sega-16.com/forum/member....77-cocaagotoff
    http://www.sega-16.com/forum/member....35-Milaimpaive
    http://www.sega-16.com/forum/member....6574-roappetty
    http://www.sega-16.com/forum/member....-Mumbrurgefege

You could filter out spambots from that round by deleting all users who entered "man" as their biography and "123456" as their PSN game tag.

I've told you guys about 13 spammers in 2 days now and they're still active. What's the big holdup?

    10 pages of Russian spammers.

Also, they're not an immediate threat, since they haven't confirmed their registration. All they can do is browse. The ones who posted 200 spam threads in Off Topic were priority.

Don't worry though, they will all feel the might of my banstick!
