When I registered my account, I almost gave a smartass answer to the question "How many 'bits' is the Genesis?"

I didn't realize it was meant to trap spambots until searching the forum to find out what that question was for.
I suggest that the purpose of the question be labeled/explained in some way so dense people like me don't screw it up.

What was your smart-ass answer? I mean, isn't it 16?

Due to this Q&A thing, I have changed the number of posts necessary to start a new thread from 10 to 1. It will still take up to an hour or so for the forum to auto-promote new users after that 1 post.
I was spam-botted by Gorsassepay, to this link: http://theblogmoney.com/ , but it seems like an interesting site and mahybe they offer some interesting ideas or writing or something for me to read. Not sure if they are trustworthy yet. Maybe not. Maybe they are. Maybe they aren't.

[Sorry: When I say "I was spam-botted," I mean I was sent a PM by that guy, on uhh, 9'13'2009.]

Depends by what "bits" you're talking about. There's 512 kilobits of main RAM, for example. SNK called their system "24 bit", and by their logic the Genesis would be 24 as well.

I was going to say 3. The console, the controller, and the altered beast cart.

I knew what they meant though, so no problem once I did a search and realized it was a spambot trap.

I don't kare what SNK called their system. SEGA was an American company. David Rosen. Unstoppable. We rule. The Genesis was 16-bit. Plain and symple. You know why? Because the processor was 16 bits. The graphics and sound are accessories. The fundamental unit of the machine is the processor, because that's the computer. you're using a computer when you play a game machine. You can still program the genesis without using the graphics or audio or controllers.

The bits of the RAM only matter in relation to how the processor uses them -- how much can feed through the processor gates at one time.

Not sure if this is the right place to report it, but there's spam in the comments to the Shadow Dancer review.
The Umbrellahead Review: where the movies are B and the packages large.

What an idiot. I'll ban his forum account. You might want to PM Melf about that review comment, though.
