Will Sega revive Knack the Weasel/Fang the Sniper?

Well, they brought back Amy first and then Chaotix team with success. Now, I am wondering if Sega will bring back Knack a.k.a. Fang from Triple Trouble and Sonic the Fighters.

It would be interesting to see how they translate his personality into one of the newer generation Sonic titles. So if Sega decides to do this, I am interested in seeing how it turns out.

Your thoughts?

Considering how outspoken long-time Sonic fans have been against the epic character roster in recent Sonic titles and how in-tune Sega/Sonic Team is with the wants and demands of said fans, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "yes."

I seem to recall some poll over on Facebook a few months back by Sega asking fans what character they wanted brought back, and Nack/Fang got the most votes of all. Might not mean anything, but it was interesting.

I found a link. One of the comments also includes a screenshot of the poll. It would be nice to see most of those characters return, but I'm glad about Fang, and hopefully we will see him again. I think people just didn't have the interest in the others due to a lack of familiarity with them.

How could they've brought back Amy when she's been in most games since Sonic the Hedgehog CD?
Granted, she wasn't in 2, 3 and Knuckles. But in pretty much everything else she was.

People want E-102 back? That's just horrible! That would ruin the character completely.

What about Mighty? Fang is cool and all, but armadillo's are where it's at.

Well, Sonic kind of replaced Mighty the Armadillo.

Mighty and Fang both got the highest votes at the poll, Mighty coming in at just about 3% less than Fang, so it's likely both will make a return eventually.

The guy who made Mighty took the copyright and left.
So Mighty might not return.
