    Default Ninja Gaiden

What about this MD release? Does anyone know about its existence? I believed it was only released in Japan (though it has english textscreen), but it appears to be not very common.

I only know about his ROM dump, and it doesn't seems a good game after all, like a failure of attempting to have the original arcade spirit. But I never have seen even a cover o box pic from it, apart from the mentioned ROM dump.

From a '92 EGM although I'm fairly certain it was never brought out of Japan.

Haha, 60% is a very generous amount for that game.

    I think it's a preview, not a review.

Ugh. I played through this snorefest the other day. I would SO have preferred the Tecmo arcade game than this. It tried so hard to be like the arcade and like the NES games but couldn't pull either off at all.

I've never seen any box art or anything regarding a real release. I think it was a ROM dump only.

Maybe this was a release played in Japan only through SEGA Modem? (same as other games like that Sonic Eraser)

Some people say it was released, but I've never heard of it, nor seen a copy.

But it was pretty awful. The backgrounds look decent, but the rest of the game is daff.

The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

I have heard that is not that good of a game. Much worse than the arcade version. I guess that some games are best left in Japan.

It's not bad per se, just repetitive as hell. The same enemies and bare bones gameplay just suck the fun right out of it. Cool cut scenes though.
