    Pc Galahad

Many Americans in early '90s may not have seen all the great games that came out for computers, but they sure did get their fair share of Amiga love by way of the Genesis. Many great games were ported, among them Psygnosis' Galahad, which was a tough action/platformer with great visuals. How does the Genesis version fare against the original? Take up a sword and shield, read our full review, and see for yourself.

Now here's a relatively bad advertised, underrated and very good game, people.
I remember I loved the music very much!

I don't care about the Amiga, but the comparison between ports was cool.
    Sega Genesis FTW!

I've had this game on MD for quite a while now as I picked it up cheap somewhere, I like the graphics style but find the gameplay a bit tedious, I think I'd give it maybe 6/10, 7 if I'm feeling generous.

Good review. Now there's one platforming game made by EA that I know about, LOL.

Nice short review! I've always wondered about this game, but never seen any of the big mags of the day back then review it. Looks like this is a game I'll most likely pick up someday.

I just got it a couple days ago. I was taken aback by how much I enjoyed playing it for the first time. I thought it would be just another by-the-numbers action sidescroller that I would find passable. However, after playing it, I realized that I really enjoy the exploration and platforming elements. The sense of exploration especially sets it apart as a very unique and enjoyable genesis title.

Why don't more people play this game? The review's balanced and coherent but given what a 7 officially denotes I don't see this being less than an 8. The cut stage is unfortunate but doesn't equate to a markedly flawed game.
A very good outing and particularly distinct for Genesis owners without Amiga access.

I was a fan of `Leander` on the Amiga and did not see Galahad on MD until a few years later, the game is good to be honest and i could load it up and play it right now.I do think it gets more interesting as you progress so you need to give it a chance but to be honest the audio on the MD version does start to grate on my ears after a while.

Completely ruined by the huge black border at the bottom.

I prefer to have the black border than have no SFX or no music.

I didn't say the Amiga version wasn't ruined either.

I wouldn't say ruined in either case but...

I was just wondering about the overall gameplay the other day and if the experience gets more enjoyable as you progress further. I've only spent a few minutes playing the first stage/level of the game but I guess I need to spend a little more time and attention exploring the level. Thanks for expressing your thoughts of the game! I think I'll play this sucker tonight!
The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.
