    It's not *really* Engrish, but a monitor I got some years ago (a Samtron...aka Samsung) had this phrase on the side of the box.

    "Your perfect friend."

    I teared up and hugged that monitor.

    Why isn't it just called "tuna" or "Thun" in the first place, why the -fis(c)h? Isn't that a bit unnecessary because most people already know that a tuna is not a bird or something?

    And why don't Hamburgers come from Hamburg?

    If you can answer me those questions, than maybe I can tell you why it's called Thunfisch... though I think, if you can do so, you probably already know the answer yourself.
