Default How do you access save games on Sega CD 2/CDX?

Well the subject pretty much asks the question. I know how to get to the menu and check out whats on my RAM cart, but how do you do it on a Sega CD 2 or a CDX?

I'd also like to know how this is done, I can't seem to find good documentation on the Backup Cart anywhere.

The same way you do it with the internal memory.

Enter the Sega CD bios and put in a game but don't start it. A button with a label like "CD-ROM" will appear. Press that button to get in the memory / setup menu.

Ah, I didn't get it right until your post just now. But for the US SEGA CD 2 you have to push "A" instead of "Start", and then from there you can pick "MEMORY".

Weird that it doesn't let you access it without a game.

You can use an audio CD instead. You just need some kind of disc.

I meant to say that I knew how to check out my RAM cart data on a Sega CD 1.

Thanks for the help! It was driving me nuts. This is my first CDX (and RAM cart) that I have personally owned.

Yeah, just Press A or B or C I think and it'll take you to that screen on a Sega CD 2.
