Sonic Scholastic Magic School Bus: Space Exploration Game

The Sega Club was a short-lived line of titles directed at the younger gamer set, those little brothers and sisters that would occupy the Genesis while their elder siblings played the Nomad or were out of the house. Though not widely acknowledged, the majority of the games in the series were actually quite good, and many still hold up today. Granted, they didn't exactly tax the hardware or feature any deeply compelling gameplay, but they didn't need to. The audience they catered to was one with few demands, and as long as the games were entertaining, the little ones were happy. Scholastic's Magic School Bus was a game that focused on science, primarily astronomy, and it offered a myriad of gameplay segments that were engaging enough to keep kids playing but were never too hard. Most were good? Eh, it was more like some were good.

    Lol.

My daughter enjoys most of them, even that Barney game that plays itself. Personally, I found Crystal's Pony Tale and Busytown to be quite good for what they were. Busytown was technically amazing. The only ones in which I haven't really seen anything to get excited about were Barney and the Berenstain Bears one.

Busytown is actually quite an impressive game. My parents got it for my brother when he was very young, but we'd all take turns playing it. It was actually quite fun, and had a large variety of gameplay.

Ecco Jr. is also a lot of fun. It's nowhere near as complex as Ecco or Tides of Time, and obviously the challenge is non-existent (it was designed with little kids in mind, after all), but if you just want to swim around and listen to relaxing music it's the perfect game to kill 45 minutes or so.

I have even beaten the Barney game that plays itself. I have to say that I really liked the Sega Club line, for what it was.
