    Shakespeare phone formats

Its actually rare I get to use a computer. I tend to use a smart phonre shameless plug- googles first smart phone G1 hence the name. Its DROID and HTC in the phone world. Idk what's the dif between droid and htc but I know they have their own phones now.
I just know DROID is more open then iDont. HTC idk. I can use my phone as a level and metal detector tho (k ill quit braging)

    Anyway....

Classic view of the forum is easier all around than default for the forum. Anyway you can make a 'mobil' (yes minus e) that's how half online sites appear for my phone. Some knd of mobile version?

This is my top most site visited besides ebay and my bank site.

    Thanks

Android is the operating system. Designed by google on top of linux.

The DROID is motorola's latest phone that supports it, w/slideout keyboard & v2.0 (Eclair) of the Android OS.

HTC released the G1/Dream, and have since released HTC Magic/myTouch 3G.
Their latest release in North America is the HTC Hero (Same hardware as the Magic/3G) which uses Android OS w/'HTC Sense' UI.
Think of it as a skin for the OS.

It's all fancy and stands toe-to-toe with iPhone.
But the Motorola Droid is cutting-edge, and faster/better by comparison of hardware.

The hero will likely get the Android 2.0 update, but how it performs remains to be seen.

You'll probably be happy to know, that this past month alone App development for android doubled, & some predominant app developers have expressed dissatisfaction with Apple's strict & abusive policies regarding 'updates.' They're migrating and soon you'll see a bunch of cool apps all over the place.

It won't ever be as clean and focused as iTunes, but it will win the fight in the long run. Blackberry & palm are doomed. Anything running windows mobile is already dead.

This is probably the only thread I won't ignore you. My g1 were on update 1.6

I know from the droid market hero has a lot of problems still with multi touch. And droid is open as hell. Cyaongen (sp?) Has some help.

Androzip , and astrid are some beautiful apps on g1. Not to mention with google talk and the like you can make free phone calls/ save minutes. Radar is good also/ I know since the update its alsmost impossible to make contacts on the phone w/o 'phonebook' w/o the phone crashiing and on a smartphone that sucks. But it doesn't make clicky sounds as much as a fucking blackberry (thank god ) I guess in a few months ill look at hero type phone as opposed to replacing my g1. And they finally released a good anti virus for the g1. Wtf does a hero tmobile look like anyway?

No way are we weakening the site for phone users. Phone technology will just have to one day catch up with the rest of the world.

It shouldn't, if content and layout are properly separated. You could just plug in a different front-end when a mobile browser is detected, which then renders the same content in a more mobile-friendly layout. But something tells me content and layout are not completely separated on this site, which makes things a lot more difficult.

That takes a lot of work for no profit, esepcially since it seems to be working fine for you. Cell phones are weak. One should expect such things while browsing on a phone. I don't expect every site to look tip-top while I browse with my Dreamcast.

works fine on my iPhone. A little clumsy thanks to the necessity of constant zooming to read text, but aside from that, no problems.
