Default Phantasy Star Collection for GBA

I've had the cartridge of this for some time now but haven't gotten too far into the games. I heard the one minor problem with it is the fact that there's a glitch that causes the game to crash when saving (only on Phantasy Star 1, which I have never personally encountered), but otherwise it seems like a nice compilation despite missing the 4th one. I would play them on the Genesis no doubt once I get my flashcart, but, I might ask: Do I have any business playing and/or keeping this cartridge?

I will never understand the internet & it's magnitude of gamers asking ridiculous open ended questions.

It's similar to seeing: "ZOMGWTFBBQ I JUST GOT 10 BUCKS! TELL ME WHAT TO BUY RIGHT NOW!" and I can't help but become misanthropic to the culture when it comes to these types of discussions.

The choice is yours to keep the game, play the game, burn the cart in a fire, etc. Going deeper than that, and asking for advice as to weather or not playing the game sooner in one form, would jeopardize the experience in another, is again; impossible to gauge due to outside influence & the nature of a linear experience polluting judgment on the second comparison.

What business is there in forfeiting yourself of a personal choice regarding ownership due to 'possibilities' in the future with your flashcart?

I know you could simply be asking for 'opinions on if you should play it now, or wait', it's a reasonable statement to make, but the way you signed off on it rubber stamps it with the absurdity I've described.

    End of rant.

I got this cartridge recently too! It's definitely worth having if you want to play Phantasy Star I-III on the GBA, despite the save glitch (I've never encountered it either) and slightly butchered sound.

Definitely play Phantasy Star before you think about touching Final Fantasy.

I cleared Phantasy Star 1 for the first time on this collection.

    No problems whatsoever. Do it!

Though technically if you get the Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3/360, you have no need for it, shy of having the trilogy on the go.

I played through PS1 no problem, but gave up on PSII during a large dungeon because the cropped view area from the lower resolution made it pretty much unplayable.
