When I started downsizing my Genesis collection, the first thing I did is get rid of all my loose Genesis carts. But I took a small handful of "top-tier" titles and kept them aside, meaning to hang on to them until I managed to replace them with CIB copies.

Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose
    Streets of Rage 2
    Batman
Double Dragon 3: The Arcade Game
    The Revenge of Shinobi
    Shadow Dancer

    and... Fantasia?

I hope this account is soon permitted to even make topics. Before, I could at least make topics that would await moderation. Now, I cannot make any topics or replies, or even send PM's.

Your English is pretty good, though. I think you'll be just fine!

And, thus, mgman becomes "The Man".

You mean the artwork? The guy who did the artwork for DB did some of the cover art for the Dragon Quest games, as well as Chrono Trigger.

I'm talking specifically about Akira Toriyama. But now that I read my comment, I see how stupid it sounds. He's actually the character designer for ALL Dragon Quest games.

I didn't know he was also involved in Chrono Trigger. Cool beans.

How are the DQ games -- are they user friendly? Can I just pick one up and just start playing?

Surprisingly-enough, yes they are extremely user friendly. Just keep in mind that Dragon Quest (1) is arguably the first "modern" RPG ever made. So, like most 8-bit RPGs, it will be extremely simplistic in the way it narrates itself, so you'll have to remember exactly what was told to you eons ago in a single character line. It's one of my top 5 favorite RPGs of all time.

Are you going to try it?

I'll emulate it and judge it from that. First one's on the NES, right?

If I like, I'll add it to my "to-buy" list.

The first four parts are on the NES (The later ones can command a hefty price, especially Part IV, which is said to be the best of said parts, as well as one of the best and most visually-stunning NES games).

Ah, that's no prob - I've got a huge list of games to buy that are beyond my price range atm - I'm still gonna get 'em though.

Sega-16 is the web site I visit the most. Why, you may ask? Because most the members here aren't complete dumb-asses.
