I've never actually sat down and watched Star Wars: Episode 1 from beginning to end.

Jar Jar isn't as bad as what people make him out to be; he's a pretty tolerable character, in my opinion at least.

I think the reason most people hate him, is because he's basically a flat, 2d comedy character that was inserted in, for no reason except for cheap laughs, into a film series alot of people grew up with and love. But people have to understand Lucas pulled the same stunt in RotJ with the Ewoks; you don't hear people complain about them as much, though.

I'm one of those few SciFi fans who loves to take advantage of the poor popularity of my favorite films. I got to watch Rocketman and Galaxy Quest all by myself in the movie theater. I got to purchase my Back to the Future and Jurassic Park trilogy packs for $12 brand new on DVD, as well as the Mad Max movie pack for $9.99. The same goes for individual titles like Sphere, Phantoms, The Mimic, The Relic, etc., all for for pennies brand new. What can I say? The more for me. Right?

You've got good taste; very, very good taste. Most of those films I like as well. Mimic, are you talking about those giant bugs that could pretend to be human? Not seen the sequels, but I very much liked the original.

Yes, that's the one. The sequels are sub-par. Nothing that comes close to the original. Man, I do love those 90s sci fi, single monster flicks. Species 1 and 2, The Relic, The Mimic, Phantoms, etc. If you haven't yet seen Phantoms, I highly recommend it.

Nah, I haven't. I'll jot it down on my -to-get-list; thanks.

If I had one million dollars tax free, I'd probably stay in school and put it all on 11 month certificate of deposits that would get me $50,000 a year. Then, once I'm done with school, I'd invest it all on my practice.

Jesse, tell QuickScifi that this question is so appalling that I can't even bring myself to answer him directly.

Wait, you liked The Sphere? I loved the book, but what little I saw of the movie was terrible. Hardcore over-acting from Dustin Hoffman, and they couldn't even show the giant squid because they were somehow under-budget.

I saw Mimic in high school when it came out. Somewhat decent, although the lead actress needs to seriously suck some helium before delivering her lines, on account of her man voice. The main thing I remember about the movie is that it killed off kids: taboo to all but the bravest horror films.

The Relic was awesome only because it was SO much better than I expected it to be. My dad and I saw it together because we both read the book. The book's monster was actually pretty stupid (a reptilian gorilla, basically), but the movie's version was fantastic. I think we only went to see it because Stan Winston did the creature effects. On a side note, I wrote a review of this movie for my high school newspaper and said that Michael Madson was the lead actor. Sorry, Tom Sizemore!

Edit: I never saw Phantoms because I thought the book was stupid. Dean Koontz is a hack, IMO.

If I had a million dollars, I'd fuck off to another country. But that's just me.

If I had a million dollars, I would first of all pay off the mortgage to my Grandparent's house, then I would make my house much bigger, because I would need a lot of room for all the video games and vintage electronics I would buy.

I've reverted back to using Firefox; I had a toolbar installed that allowed me to download Youtube videos in any audio or vid format of my choosing, but it stopped working in Chrome, so Firefox it is.
