Yeah, I was hoping either you, Sheath, or Jesse had already tried it and would be able to give a review. I've tried one of Hyperkin's Yobo Famicom systems and found it cheap and unreliable. I'd be more forgiving with a portable system, though.
no cheap clones for me just the real deal hardware

Kinda sorta. I got a pretty good deal on a GameBoy Pocket bundle recently, although the seller is taking his sweet time getting it to me (he lives in Fresno, which is only a few hours away from Sacramento, and yet it's almost a week later and I still haven't gotten it). Blue GBP with 10 games, many of which I shockingly don't have, for $30.

Then there's the Super C, StarTropics, Goonies II lot I won recently for $11 shipped. That should be coming before too long.

And this one, which I've already posted in the Haul thread, which was last weekend:

Viewtiful Joe for GameCube (CIB) $7
Star Tropics II for NES (it came in one of those plastic game cases, and I just noticed that the instructions are included!) $5
Dynamite Heady for Game Gear $2
    The Smurfs for GameBoy $2
    Final Fight for SNES $8

Oh, and I also bought a backpack. I plan on going to the flea market next weekend and I hate carrying stuff around.

This lot. (Not my furnishings, I just lazily used the pics from the eBay auction :P) The N64 games are Zelda, Mario Kart 64, Mario 64, South Park Rally, Diddy Kong Racing, Yoshi's Story and Goldeneye. All CIB in great condition. Everything in the photos (plus an empty N64 box and a couple of awful yet fun Doctor Who PC games) cost me £25, which I'm very happy with.

Also finally got hold of a Sonic Generations presskit for around 70 euros, Korean Sonic the Hedgehog (MD) and a couple of SMS game multicarts (via Molotovwars), and a few more Game Gear games.

It looks like my luck has run out now though, since the Italian postal service has seemingly screwed me over and never delivered a GG game I've been after for ages. (Its been over two weeks since it was sent, tracking appears to have died, and the seller's buggered off on holiday now argh). I'm especially annoyed since I specifically asked for (and paid extra for) good, properly trackable shipping - as everyone knows Italian post is not reliable. I'm sure I can get a refund if it never arrives, but that's not the point. Meh! I knew that bag of Game Boys I sacrificed to the retro game Gods was a bad idea.

Japanese version is everywhere, but I nerdily need the Euro version

I'm only actively looking for one GG game, and I'm certain it's not worth the price I'll eventually pay for it.

    (Hint: it's Mega Man)

Yeah, I used to want GG Mega Man for a while, but after I tested it out, I found that the the low resolution makes it difficult to see where you're going sometimes, especially one particular spot in Bright Man's stage, where you can easily fall into a ditch.

Well..I'd say those hauls are anything but decent. Most impressive, congrats guys!

I've got something coming through the post any day now myself; it's nowhere near what you've got, but I'd like to keep it under wraps for now, at least until it comes.

Good luck with that one! All I have is a bootleg Mega Man cart - likely to remain that way too :/ I don't think I'll be looking for many US GG games, or Jp for that matter. (I'm just after Panzer Dragoon Mini, refuse to pay £100 for the damn thing though.) I started trying to get the full Euro set last year, once I realised I was only 'missing' around 40 (and most of them weren't sports games) but I'm 8 away now. That is the last proper "rare" I need - it's just frustrating. Ugh - I don't know how people manage to amass minty Sega full sets (especially non-Jp). It's probably easier if you live outside the UK (or even near a decent retro game shop or carbooting area) but if you have to rely on internet sites it sucks. Even if you manage to find everything, and have enough disposable income to waste on Sega boxes, you have to trust sellers to pack them properly (sad how many people people apparently don't know how or purely can't be arsed) and rely on postal carriers to actually deliver them to you. I'd never have that patience - finding my stupid quest difficult enough as it is. And I'll stop here as I'm boring even myself. ;P

Thanks Jesse. I'm happy with it - don't think I've ever done so well from evilbay. That stuff had only just been listed when I pounced on it
