Default 32X making an odd buzzing sound from TV

and my 32X is making a weird low buzzing sound. Its not bad on some games...but annoying as hell on Space harrier.

I think it's the cable that goes from the back of the 32X into the back of the Genesis 2. I tried three Genesis 2 systems just to be sure...

    You better believe it, buster!

It's most likley a grounding issue.
Cheap SCARTs among other cable types often aren't grounded very well - my cheapo Genesis and Dreamcast RGB scarts produce a nice "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" whenever there are lots of bright colours onscreen.

So that's what it is. It's inverse for me, though - when I first turn on my Mega Drive II, 'BZZZZZZZZZZZzzz' *runs game/displays colours/whatever* '...' Is there any way to get rid of this? It's more of an annoyance than anything

Also, the signal seems shifted to the left ever so slightly, and the top-left-hand corner of my TV set looks 'wobbly' between black and the image. Grr.

I'm not entirly sure how to get rid of it.
You'd be better off asking the boys over at gamesx.com.

Also it does indeed sound like a grounding issue, so first you have to eliminate whether it's an issue with the cable or the console or even your amp/tv (unlikley).

If it's a deal with the console then you may have to geat ready to perform some slight hardware adjustment ;p

The sound quality I get from my Dreamcast - when listened to on surround sound is absolutly APPALING.
I have no idea what could cause it to sound so bad.
I don't think that even bad cabling could make it sound as bad as it does.
Does the Dreamcast actually just suck for sound?
Because on anything "bassy" it just turns into what sounds like a dying telephone speaker...

ussually it's the cart thats dirty try cleaning it, because if the buzzing is stronger or weaker in some games it's probably some dust on the contacts of the cart

I had a 32X that made that buzzing sound you describe - the machine itself. It worked fine, but the buzzing was... not correct. It was like that right out of the box, and I returned it for another one.

Oddest thing I've ever seen a console do by itself. You're not alone on this, but unfortunately, I don't know how to help.

Are you playing (naughty, naughty) CD-R'd games? Most, if not all, of the torrented rips floating around have downgraded audio and no video so the game will fit on a 700MB CD-R. The copied Sonic Adventure that came with my Dreamcast had absolutely dreadful sound quality, and was missing just about every FMV scene.
