    You have to watch the license screen at boot, and you can't play the few non-US region-locked games without modding your console or using an adapter like the game genie.

    I don't think there are many region locked games though.

    Not region-locked, you mean unlicensed. Region locks have nothing to do with TmSS.

    Genesis Game Genies are cheap and plentiful, so no worries.

    does the picture look better on this model? I only got it to play Beggar Prince and Wukong so I'm not worried about imports.

    Sound's more important than video IMHO, since honestly I can't tell much difference on that front.

    Not for me I have a huge TV video is everything since the smallest details are blown up and highly noticable... Im going to have to get this,


    Will the image be better or as good as S-Video? Also, i see some kind of sound plug where does that go? The headphone jack? If so thats cool can I use computer speakers?

    will this work?

    No, as you're in the US. (could buy an adapter for SCART to component (CRT) or HDMI (HDTV) though)

    Those adaptors will run you ~$30-40 though, but will be useful for any RGB outputting device with SCART cable available. (however the SCART cables are often not cheap either)

    Get the compoent one if you want to use it with a CRT SDTV though.
