Your favorite 32x game?

Everytime I play 32X, I play Virtua Racing Deluxe. So I guess I'd have to say Virtua Racing Deluxe.

I can tell you what it's not: Moto Cross Championship. Bottom five games of all time, for any system, in my book.

NOW... if there was an option to Jump added, I would definitely agree with your argument because then a multitude of areas in the original Levels of Es #1-4 and part 2 would be screwed up because the player could bypass areas that weren't meant to be defeated with a simple jump.

But there is an option to jump in ZDoom.

Grab DOSBox, install Doom, and play it like people used to back in the day (320x200 reso, SB or GUS sound... it's fun). It feels quite different than ports such as ZDoom and the like.

Or just use Chocolate Doom.

Well, I just saw that there is a collection of 'Sega Arcade Games' that includes an exact 100% port of the arcade original 'plus' extra tracks and cars... I'm now going to be getting that for PS2... screw all the Genesis versions.

I think we play Doom for different reasons. You play Doom for the love of Doom and everything it has to offer. I enjoy Doom because of how it took advantage of the 32x hardware. It's neat to see what the hardware could do in the hands of competent programmers. The game is fun to boot. Beyond that, I have little interest.

I still like Stellar Assault / Shadow Squadron, Tempo, Metal Head and Chaotix the most.

My favourite 32X game is without a doubt Kolibri, which is arguably the best hummingbird-based shooter for the 32X.

Space Harrier is up there as well.
