Default Preview: Legend of Wukong

As the holidays approach, you're probably still thinking about getting a little something for yourself. Why not grab Super Fighter Team's newest release, Legend of Wukong? That's right, this December a new RPG from the people who gave you Beggar Prince will be shipping, and it's got all the clamshell and full-color goodies you want, as well as full compatibility with all Genesis variations! Interested? We thought so, which is why we've prepared a handy preview of the game for your perusal! Enjoy!

NOTE: This thread is for discussion of the actual preview article. All discussion about the game itself should be kept in the official Legend of Wukong thread.

Thanks!

Apparently I've been living in a cave for the last week or so, because I completely missed the official thread we have here!

This preview made me angry:
- Angry that now I'm going to have to blow almost $100 on new Genesis games, thanks to Watermelon development and Super Fighter Team.
- Angry that the Genesis is going to do exactly what it did to me fifteen years ago - take time away from school.
- Angry at myself for being absent from this site for so long.
- And angry that I've come to the conclusion that I need to move my Genesis/CD from my bedroom to my front room if I want to start back up my obsession (which I do).

So thanks a lot Ken. And Super Fighter Team. And the Watermelon team.

The Genesis Effect:

That's exactly what I thought after I wrote my post! Seriously, the preview couldn't have come at a better time, I'm really excited about starting back up my addiction.

Looks like another solid release. I wish there were some more screen shots and maybe some gameplay video just to give us and idea of on how the game runs and the sound quality. I'm definately going to give the ROM a try in the meantime. Even though it's inferior, hopefully it'll give me a feel for it.

I'm still thinking about picking up a copy of beggar prince too now that they improved the cover art and compatability. That coupled with the Peir Solar copy I preordered is going to make me broke! sheesh.

Ah, based off the classic Chinese tale. I loved that damn monkey and his wacky troupe growing up.

The Forbidden Kingdom was also based off this same tale.

Genesis fans sure have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. I wish someone did the same thing for the SNES!
