Rap music has had some really stupid fads over the year. People still cringe when they think back to MC Hammer's genie pants or that weird high top fade worn by the guy in Kid 'n Play. One memory I'm sure many rap fans of the era wish they could erase from their collective memory is that of kiddie rappers Kris Kross' backwards pants. If ever there was fashion trend that was downright dumb, it was the one involving boys putting their pants on the wrong way. Sadly, people were willing to let the duo "warm it up" long enough to join in on the craze, and Sega even went so far as to give them their own video game. Debuting under the Make My Video label alongside such gaming powerhouses such as Marky Mark, Kris Kross' horrible fashion sense is forever preserved in grainy, low-color video. The only reason you buy THESE games is because you like the band. If you don't like the band your gonna hate the game! I remember hoping for a Metallica Version of MMV! And I was really interested in the Prince version that was never releases.. Thanks to "prince"!

So it needs to be reviewed by someone who likes the band.

I gave it a 3. I like Kriss Kross enough IMHO

lousy video game, though heres the only Kris Kross song I remember mainly cause it was pm the radio a lot when I was younger

I bought the C+C Music Factory MMV back in the day... And I really enjoyed it.. Just for the music. And for the fact that I didn't have cable and didn't have MTV.. So it made since for me to own such a game and actually wish for more! But the ACTUAL game play was really hard, I could never get a good score at the end of the video.. But I kept playing again and again to see the videos and listen to the music...

on pop-culture cheese, an absolute 11!

so you get a final average score of 6

look, if metal managed to make a comeback, bubble gum rap will eventually come back as well. mix that with the horrible video quality of the sega cd and you have a perfect document of the early 90's. it is well worth the dollar or two this game commands in the bargain bin.

You say that there are two other volumes of this series, but there are really three... I mena, Power Factory Featuring C&C Music Factory is usually considered to be a game in this series, right? (There is a review of it here)

Anyway, what is the lesson here, beware public votes on review because people really like reviews of horrible, horrible games? It's fun for everyone but the person actually subjected to playing the thing!

Damn I miss my Sega CD....I've never had fonder memories of a failed gaming system before......

I was a proud owner of this game......C'mon guys, admit it.......Actual video in a videogame was mind blowing in 93

Back in the day these were pretty cool.. with the novel effect of video and the actual music to the song as well... it is only through the passage of time that the rather limited scope of this games appears.. but back in their time these were pretty neat.
