Default Micro Machines Turbo Tournament '96

Those who grew up in the early '90s remember the Micro Machines well. The darn things had toys for just about every vehicle ever made. They had a few games too, and Turbo Tournament '96 ranks among the best. So many options, so much fun! Our complete write up tells all about this great little racer that you probably overlooked, so check it out and see what you've been missing!

I wonder, would 4 players be able to play this on the Nomad thanks to the J-Cart? That'd be great to see a bunch of dudes crammed around the tiny screen!

We've still got the megadrive micromachine games. Makes for a really good 4 player game and we still play it quite often

EDIT : Just a note on that review, wasn`t blast processing just a marketing ploy? If so how could this micromachines take advantage of a technology that doesn`t exist?

I think I remember preferring Military Edition, but now I can't remember what's what.

Back in the day I had a complete collection of J-carts! Super Skidmarks, Pete Sampras Tennis, Pete Sampras Tennis '96, Micro Machines 2, Micro Machines '96, and Micro Machines Military. That made me cool.

I had never heard of the J-Cart until right now. Knowing they pulled it off is actually kind of impressive.

Ohh yes it existed Did Blast processing tel you how much the speed was no,but was it the fastest console for a good time on the market yes so they may state that. They stated it completly random for you to buy youre genesis and go think about the blast processing and playing sonic 2 that is just fast and more game,What is blast processing actually it means that no other console at the competting time could process so many animation such quick sketches and make 64 color game look like silk, theyre true id say they used blast processing.Blast processing measn nothing more then 7,58 Hz beeing used instead of the whimpy 3,58 snes and Tg 16 had(Tg 16 dunno for shure)

It's just a silly way to describe the jump from the NES game to the Genesis sequel.

Yes, Blast Processing was just away to describe the superior processing speed of the Genesis. It's also been cited as the programming technique where all sprites not visible in the playing field are removed from the game to increase performance.
