Double Switch

Digital Pictures turned out a ton of full motion video games on the Sega CD. In fact, it's usually the genre most people remember first when they think of the much-maligned add-on. In an era where multi-media was all the rage, FMV achieved heights it has never attained since. Double Switch was a later DP release that was eventually ported to the Saturn and PCs, and it starred none other than fading '80s star Corey Haim, who once stated that he wanted to be known as "Sega Boy." Yeah, that Corey Haim. Read the full review for all the details.

We all know the apex of everything Corey was the movie "License to Drive".

Their stint on "Robot Chicken" surpassed it though.

Dissapointed to not see Corey's name mentioned in the actual review though.

Just kidding!

I have. Repeatedly.

I love Double Switch. More complex than Night Trap, better traps, tons of replay value, and I've still never seen all the cutscenes. There's so much going on at once, that it's almost impossible.

And it has some golden dialog.

They also take the trapping mechanics to almost comedic lengths, like they're making fun of Night Trap(watch how some of the villains dodge some traps, and fall right into others).

The mobster with the black beard is priceless.

I remember renting this back in the day and actually having fun with it. I remember actually thinking it was easier than Night Trap and definitely had more fun to it.

Funny enough, a friend of mine just recently started telling me we should hunt Night Trap down ... "you know, that game with Corey Haim in it that we played." Once I straightened him out, he definitely meant Double Switch.

Hahahaha...I was watching videos of this game on YouTube. It really doesn't look that bad. Gotta love the symbols on the floors.

I was disappointed with this game when I bought it a few months ago. I have always been a fan of Night Trap, so I figured I would like Double Switch aswell. I don't like the fact that there is hardly any time to watch to scenes, it's too fast paced.
