Default Verytex

So many shmups were left in Japan, and sometimes that was a good thing. such was the case with Asmik's VeryTex, which was pretty darn mediocre. Read our full report to see just how much.

A decent shooter from the folks at ISCO (the game's actual developer). I will say that the music is what shines the most about this game.

I remember renting this game. I remember it had good music that reminded me slightly of how Midnight Resistance sounded. That's all I can say about Verytex.

Sakimoto definitely did some fine work on the Gen/MD.

Hopefully I covered all the bases that needed to be covered; it's my first review after all... Not that there were many things to tackle about this game though, except for the music. Lovely.

If there's one thing I love, it's utter average-ness. I oughta try this.

Love the name, by the way. Verytex? Very...tex? Very Texan?

Introduce it into the middle schools and that slang could really take off. The world will of course hate you, but oh well..

This slang is going places. Of course, if it makes it into Texas, we'll all be assassinated for extreme Texan disrespect by the Federated Texas Revengeful Undersquad, the existance of which cannot be disproven because I certainly didn't make it up just now.

He's right, I've had many an epic conflict with them in the past.

Does anyone here go to the Lost Levels.org forums? "Verytex" is going to be our "GRATE!"

I can give that game one thing; I love it's music. It does indeed just suck you right in. I am listening to Act 2's music and I cannot stop.

I work with this guy from Texas, and I asked him if he knew Hank Hill, and he also said he doesn't give a shit if I mess with Texas.
