If you know how to fix the CD tray...

Most problems with the X'Eye are that the system doesn't recognize that the door is closed. This is easy to repair. The problem with the one in this auction sounds like the whole laser assembly needs to be replaced. This is expensive as well as some members here have posted that when they replaced the laser assembly on their Sega CD's the system didn't read discs. I would stay away from this auction.

I got the email on this yesterday but it looks like it's already sold. I've yet to see a sale that beats the one I got on my X'Eye a couple months ago though: $35 BIN untested. When I got it home and tested it, it worked like a charm :D

That's insane! I did however just get a Sega CD Model 1 for $25 BIN and it also works like a charm! And this was just a few days ago so I'm still happy about it :D

I'm not afraid of fixing stuff... One of my better buys was $20 + $35 shipping for a Model 1 Genesis (VA3) and a non-working Sega CD Model 1. The Sega CD took a while to fix, but it works great now. I think that was quite the bargain...
