Amazing! We've only just announced Rush Rush Rally Reloaded, and we have another announcement coming up already!

First I have to get one thing out of the way, though: it's not Age of the Beast. Incase you didn't know, Age of the Beast was a project we started soon after the release of our firstborn, the moddable beat 'em up engine called Beats of Rage. But we stepped into the same traps as so many other indie developers - we announced it prematurely and watched it grow over our heads. I suppose this is a natural part of growing up for a game deloper. It has certainly taught us a lot.

Although Age of the Beast had to clear the field in favour of other projects, we did pour a lot of work and love into it, and we would like to share some of the results with you now.

The original text is at the bottom. There isn't any word that the game has been canned or is still in development.

They chose Izzy over that?

Izzy looks like all of the other platforming games that have been released by Indy. The character looks very similar to Shantae.

I'd say it sounds like they don't have any plans to continue with it.

If it helps at all, there might be a couple of Open Beats of Rage mods to fill it's vacancy.

Here's one based on Guardian Heroes(...your guess on how to download this one's as good as mine...):

Here's a really ambitious DnD one(same for this first one):
...and an optimized smaller file size, faster loading version of it(this one does provide a working download link):

Hi guys,

Thanks for your interest in Age of the Beast. I think we can all agree that it is still a great concept, but over the years we've learned that we were simply too ambitious. Completion of AotB is possible, but it would probably require at least 3 times the budget estimated for Intrepid Izzy. We simply don't have that kind of money, and we don't expect to be able to obtain that much through crowd funding either - at least not at this time.

So it's not definitively cancelled, but it is indefinitely in the fridge waiting for better financial times.
