After seeing stuff on youtube I got it since I thought this game is like a dream come true, knowing my gaming tastes. have been playing the first disc for 2 hours and a bit of the 2nd disc( that one runs better than a flooded river in new orleans) and read a little bit in a faq to understand all the items, upgrades and what have you (not that I understand any of it mind you), but holy shit!!
10/10 game this!

the game is big it's almost too much for me with all the crossing paths and sometimes having 4 choices what to do (no idea what since it's japanese). I can't wait to play this with a friend. I really wished it had 4 player like in the arcades, but this is still amazing!

There is a physical version on PS3. The game is also released on Steam and Wii U. So you can play it in English. Some of the talent behind the games went on to direct Dragon's Crown as a spiritual successor.

edit: it only came out in japan. is that version still in english? and does it support 4 players?

No English on the Japanesephysical version but the Steam/X360/PS3 and Wii U ports do support 4 players.

ah, ok. I might get it digital then although I much prefer the saturn model 2 controller here, or my arcade stick.

Its an amazing game, quite brilliant on the Saturn at the time.
