Anyone know where I can find information for calibrating the lasers for model 2 JVC drives?

The only service manual I can find looks to be for a model 1 from 1995.

Unfortunately all of the test points are different and their are only 2 trim pots that I could see.

Also, can anyone recommend a readily available test disc?

Thanks :)

Nobody has bothered to preserve such manuals because nobody actually plays saturn theyíre just merely shelf ornaments

Here's the procedure from the June 1995 manual.

You don't need a test disc, any (older) pressed CD within spec will do. CDs longer than 79 minutes aren't ideal.

That's for VA0 model 1 units, the OP specifically mentioned that he needs one for later drives, which have different test points and different adjustment pots.

Thats strange... I didn't get a thread subscription update...

Well, poop... I guess I'll have to prod around and adjust by trial and error :(

Though, I was wondering... What if I was to directly ask sega group or sega holdings nicely if they had anything archived? I could also get my waifu to contact sega japan directly as well... From my experience with getting any technical information from a Japanese company is pretty much impossible.

You could try asking Sega but I don't think there's anyone working there who knows what the Saturn is.
