American Virtua Cop + Modded White Saturn

I have a Japanese mod chipped Sega Saturn. I want to play Virtua Cop in English, but it seems both American and Japanese versions use hardware region detection, displaying Japanese, even with the mod switch set to America.

Is there any way to play it in English?

Found out the answer for this: all I needed was to enable the option plus menu (cheat mode), there I found some nice options along the desired language set option.
