Hey guys,

There's currently a pre-order window open for a Physical Release of Streets of Rage 4 for both the PS4 and Switch. Standard and Collectors Edition for each system.

PS4 Standard Edition ($35 USD):

PS4 Collectors Edition (called Classics Edition) $60 USD:

Nintendo Switch Standard Edition ($35 USD):

Nintendo Switch Collectors Edition (called Classics Edition) $60 USD:

I don't usually go in for Collectors editions but for this custom Genesis clamshell Classics Edition I could not resist.

You're still surprised that people like physical releases?

Maybe he's like me, and he feels SOR4 is only good to wipe your ass with.

No I'm fucking why as to why Limited Run games of all fucking things? They couldn't just do a normal retail release instead of this crap?

I hear ya. Sure, if you don't like brawlers then there's not much to get excited about.
Or is it specifically SOR4 that you don't like the look of? Personally, it looks like it has a lot of potential.

I also hate limited run releases that sell out in minutes. But at least this time it's a pre-order window. It will be much easier to pick-up a copy.

Maybe they don't feel there is enough demand for SOR4 for a proper retail release. If so, this seems like a reasonable compromise.

I'd sooner chew granite than give LRG one red cent for the political horseshit.

So, what’s with all the hate for Limit Run Games?
Too limited?

I've heard that they've been making modest attempts at curbing it recently, but in the past they allowed resellers to buy mass amounts of their print runs which were already smaller than the demand.

It's gotten to the point where flippers pre-sell their copies long before release. So you could plan to go to the official site to buy a game as soon as they open up for ordering and find it sold out within minutes, then google for another source and find dozens of listings on ebay for outrageous prices.

I went ahead and ordered this for the deluxe version for the Switch if anything to support the devs who made this game. I have no respect for Limited Run but yeah. I'm not super pleased I had to go thru them to get this.
