I guess you gotta take these rarity guides with a grain of salt. :(

All rarity guides are misleading and don't make proper distinctions between being genuinely rare and sought after. Even if you take both into account, the ratings are still off and games generally go through phases of availability anyway.

The closet rare game I have that I found on that list was Home Alone.

It wasn't rare back in 1993 when I first got it.

What a horrible list! I looked up sonic, and got these prices:

Sonic Labyrinth - L $25.00
Sonic Drift 2 - L $20.00
Sonic Blast - L $22.00

What the hell? Those games can be got for absolutely dirt cheap, those prices are off the scale!

Most rarity guides are tosh. They also often tend to negate the fact there is a world beyond America.

Nobody in their right mind would pay $138 for the Solitare family pack. I can find a deck of cards anywhere.

I should have raided the bargin bin at Toys R' Us, when they were clearing out a ton of GG games for under $5. Even though I didn't own a GG, having the oportunity to sell the Strike series games for 4 x what I'd payed for would have been worth it.

That guide is way out in both terms of rarity and value.

Why do they only include NTSC games? A true rarity guide should cover the three main regions at least.
