Hey groupmates, After 2 decades of avoiding all shooters but a couple NES I've found them becoming a large part of my gaming diet. It's always been my feeling the PCE (and extensions) was the king or early shooters, and I don't terribly like the Genesis library in this regard, so I thought I'd look into this system I know very little about. Favourite Genesis shooters = Sol Deace, BioHazard Battle, Gley Lancer (if the colours varied more), Truxton. Vert and hori are very different types of game to me. Any recommendations? Thanks.
I think he meant he was looking into some good Genesis/Mega Drive shooters, not PCE. The Genesis / Mega Drive is FULL of excellent shooters - some may say even more than the PCE. Some that I recommend: MUSHA Trouble Shooter Gaiares Truxton Thunderforce II, III, and IV (Lightening Force in the USA) Insector X Arrow Flash Hellfire Phelios Raiden Air Buster Some SEGA CD/ Mega CD recommendations: Robo Aleste Android Assault Lords of Thunder Silpheed Sol Feace Hope that helps some.
