Hi, could you maybe help me with some info about the GT208 chip. I got a clone console called Classic2 HD and I wanna see if I can mod it for S-Video or RGB. It has the GT208 chip and composite and hdmi output. Would it be too much to ask for some help?

Hello ACE i have a question about the Mega Amp 2.0. in the previous version the R21 was removed from the circuit but in the ne 2.0 it is not. on the board itself there is R21. when this is not removed the audio of the Sega CD is mono. but as it is removed is is stereo. At the same time the Sega Genesis loses some of its sounds. i am wondering if this needs to be bridged for it to work on the chip. any help or explanation would be appreciated.

Hello there! I saw your post and I came to ask: Is there a way to purchase a Mega AMP 2.0 for my recently bought Genesis VA7? I was bumped by its sound quality and decided to look for a change without buying another Genesis unit.

Hi Ace, I was installing a mega amp 2.0 pro into a genesis model 2 va2.3. And after following the diagram I’m not getting any sound. I’m fairly confident in the solders and I have followed the install diagram to the letter with the exception of the sega cd pass through left and right. Labeled in purple on the diagram. I can’t seem to find where those connect to. I tested with those caps for the sega cd pass through removed and put back on. Right now I’m getting no sound out of the genesis and I have verified that it’s a good working unit that I recapped before hand. So I have 3 questions
1. Is the sega cd pass through required for the mega amp to function?
2. Are there any consequential details left out on the diagram for the model 2 va2.3?
3. Does it much matter where I pull 5 volt and ground from? They are not labeled on the diagram so I found a couple of other points.

Hi Ace, Minerdude from Gradius Homeworld here. Considering how quiet those forums are, I'm not surprised if you haven't seen my new little thread in Unofficial Salamander 3 about widescreen issues in Windows 10...
Thing is, I have two computers, good one runs Windows 10, and in the more recent updates to Win10 I've found US3 was stuck in this ugly widescreen aspect ratio instead of its proper 4:3. Tried a few Properties-related fixes and they did nothing. Any way to get the aspect ratio back to 4:3?

Do you think it's risky to buy brand new sega items? My concern is the capacitors. They can still leak and go bad if it's new and never been used I believe. What do you think about that?

I have a VA3 Genesis Model 1 and VA0 Model 2 and it has good sound and good mono audio. But i had accident, I accidentally spilled water on my VA3, It glitched and when i air dried it, it was no longer glitching and it works again. Can a Sega Genesis survive after a accident water spill? And what do you think of my VA0 Model 2 Genesis?
