Congratulations! Will that encourage you to revisit it and develop it further?

That sounds ambitious. Thanks and good luck!
Wow! Anything more to share about it? :)
Got my copy yesterday. Plenty of fun, not so easy to shoot exactly where you want though, I would have much preferred the B button to allow the character to strafe instead of staying immobile - which...
Thanks Vetea, it's an impressive tech demo on the Mega Drive!
Thank you, that was informative and very entertaining.
Never imagined that Cannon Fodder, Super Fantasy Zone and Zero Wing were never released as Genesis titles. What happened? :?
Gorgeous game for the MD, congratulations Piko on achieving this.
Wow so this is it, Paprium's released, buyers have received and played it and people on this thread have run out of things to say!
Was it a natural choice for the CE developers to go with the 256x224 mode, despite not using the sprites from the SNES? Would the Mega Drive have had an edge with graphical detail in 320x224 mode?
Fantastic, congrats on receiving yours.
Maybe you can ask again giving all the details, there's a second run coming and he may replace your lost copy with a complimentary one.
I'd be curious to see some screen shots from those who play the game on the Mega SG with dither blending activated. Is it like the old leaked images (e.g. the glass elevator)?
A French retrogaming Youtuber uploaded a side-by-side visual comparison of Paprium with his Neo Geo beat'em ups, on his CRT TV, without any comments, just the sound of each game taking turns.
Apart...
Hi Stef, I was wondering if the Z80 was used for anything else than sound in this game, and if using the custom chip for sound freed up some CPU resources which are then used for sprites etc.?
Pretty nice. I'm thinking of backing and getting a physical copy.
I'm not too surprised either given the time it's been in development, and as the game looked very "classical", am not gutted as I would be if ZPF was cancelled. It's always sad to hear though....
Of course, and it's nice with gradients, but when the contrast between two colours is too high as in those darker levels, it just doesn't blend well at all and looks grainy (that's what I actually...
Excellent episode, thanks for the notification Pyron and thanks for the episode Joe. "Plasic Game Room", I lol'd there and at other times.
Damn, there's some heavy dithering in some places.
Thanks for sharing!
Spiral is my favourite theme in the game and it's nice to find it in your selection.
Happy New Year everyone.
Can't wait for it, after the documentary, it would be like the climax of the story... "The end?"
Sure there's a ton of graphics in the game, but quality audio samples take up quite a chunk of space too. Apparently the "Datenmeister" brings 24 or 32 audio channels, it would be interesting to hear...
According to a post early in this thread, by Stéphane Dallongeville who is credited in the game, the "Datenmeister" is used for audio, decompressing data and possibly scaling. Those things...
Oops, you're right, it was the Mega Retron HD. I forgot that existed but somehow registered the Retron 5, although I've never seen one IRL.
I've just watched John Hancock's test of the game, there's nothing much to say except that it works on a Retron 5! There's a strange behaviour with some details though (haven't seen any sprite...
