The Saturn's problem was definitely NOT the hardware but almost everything else.
-EDIT- Let me rephrase that: The Saturn's problem was not the lack of hardware power.
Any news on the game?
Bock is the lead programmer on Dragon's Trap for PS4, Xbone, Switch, etc. - and it includes a Master System mode. You can even use your old passwords from the original game.
If you were to be more specific (like MUCH more specific) I am sure that Watermelon to a degree could improve the things you mentioned seeing as there still is time and graphics and code are not...
I usually have to spit whenever someone mentions this game. Sadly I just now have spat on my carpet thanks to your thread. :?
Have you played Slaughter Sport recently? ;)
I already saw BA but not BA 3D

MD for sure.
While everyone here speculates about the similarities to Streets of Rage, I spoke with a bunch of knowledgeable people on the internet and they assure me that WM has stolen code from Fatman aka...
I think you have SNES9x in mind which uses its own license (which indeed does exclude commercial use).
Edit: I checked and GPGX is not GPL'd. And you're right: Its license does forbid commercial...
Respect for your work on the game roce! Looks like it could have been a good game if some time was spent on audiovisual content and fine tuning. The basics are most certainly there! I hope you guys...
Just had to vent. - I'm glad to finally see this project advancing. Reading pages and pages of people complaining about their not-invested money being wasted wasn't fun.
I would like to complain for 50 pages about the game not getting finished. It's already been at least two weeks since the announcement of the start of the game's development and the long period of...
Looks excellent! - The brightest grey tones on the plane aren't bright enough though. I do prefer them on the original I think. There are also grey shades missing (you can see it on the upper body of...
Fact: (J)RPGs were not among the games SOA enjoyed to have to invest money into. When a game got greenlit by their staff (or enforced by SOJ, like Sonic) then SOA and SOE had to pay their share in...
Reading between the lines, here's what I think are the facts:
- the game definitely was delayed in the West, we got it late 1994-ish in Europe, I think?
- SOA most likely turned it down in 1993 (or...
Most likely true but I am pretty sure that everyone posting, blogging, tweeting and retweeting helped a little bit. There was a noticeable shift in momentum during the last few days even before the...
Definitely a clone. The Tectoy chipset was made in the mid 2000s not in the 90s. Box and controllers also look cheap. The controllers are common for the late 2000s, they are still produced today.
Thank you so much for considering it. I really do appreciate it. This game's potential is mind-blowing, and it seems you are on the right track - except for those two points.
Regular enemies...
That space ship is still too big. Make it 1/3rd smaller. Also the regular enemies need to take fewer hits.
/complaining since 2011
It's like having your favorite book read by your 5-year-old son who guesses its content mostly by the pretty pictures and makes up most stuff on the fly. :|
Firecore isn't a GOAC but an emulator.
There are two versions, one with infrared receiver and one without. This might explain the price difference, I assume.
I agree. ;)
