I have seen him in the mister chat on Discord. He has been working on cores for Mister.
Thanks for the heads up. I don't have 32x or the cables, though I may get one eventually.
Pre-ordered! I also ordered Genesis 1 and Saturn adapters to go with it.
Telling from videos, and the Cookieman version on one of the lesson pages of Hidecade's site, the Pac-Man port on the My Arcade unit is different. It is a nice port, though.
Castle Excellent is also on MSX, is flip screen like the original Castle, and plays much better than its NES/FC counterpart. The Castle is definitely an excellent game, but it's also on MSX.
Mine arrived. Mixed feelings about the pastel colored carts and new labels (at least they are nice and glossy, unlike the Dreamworks Fire Shark label), but PQ is nice otherwise. I'll check to be...
I got a shipping notice from LRG for the Toaplan collector's box!
Graphics and Design are by Gryzor, who also did the artwork for Fire Arrow+ and Super XYX on PC.
I was going to get Zero Wing since I have the other three on cart, but ended up ordering the set since none of the ones I have are boxed and I heard the Hellfire sound bug was fixed.
The graphics remind me a bit of Super XYX, a game I enjoy quite a bit. Looks like Gryzor is involved with this? Looks incredible.
I'll check on my Mega SG to be sure, but I don't think it is. It definitely uses the JP cart shape, though. I also have a modified Genesis, but it's currently in storage due to my house being hit by...
I wonder if Bruton Gaster helped with the display. "Hey, did you hear about Pluto? That's messed up."
Sweet! I remember seeing screenshots of this version in Video Games and Computer Entertainment.
I tried the dither blending on Final Fight CD (though it doesn't work on my Sega CD 2 on mega sg with the latest firmware) and Twinkle Tale, two games with dither patterns and, even on the lowest...
My post was in reply to ironnick23's post explaining that it's definitely a Megadrive/Genesis ROM. The documentation incorrectly refers to the game as Chip's Advance, though.
I downloaded the rom from the link in the first post from the itch.io site and it works on an actual Genesis, as well as the Mega SG. It's most certainly a real MD port of Chip's Challenge.
Legend of Illusion and Land of Illusion aren't GG exclusives. Both are on SMS. The former is one of those odd Brazil exclusives, though the latter is a nice version of the game. While the GG versions...
As far as I know, the Lynx version is the original. I like the music in that version. Cool that it was ported to the Genesis.
Very impressive! Aside from the awesome Super Shinobi, MD also got Shadow Dancer, which plays closer to the arcade games.
Make sure "6 button hack" is checked when putting XenoCrisis on the mini. It forces 6 button mode.
When using Genesis Plus GX in retroarch, it looks much better. Default setting in stock emulator looks the same as before, but the blur filter can be turned off when using scanlines.
I definitely noticed more input lag with the MD Mini when the cable was connected to the laptop rather than the brick used for the mega sg. The SNES classic didn't have this issue.
Thank you for your awesome work and keeping the Genesis alive. I'm amazed by the little details in the graphics and animation and the gameplay is fast and fluid. I love the Game Over/Continue screen.
Not sure what rev my cart is, but I wonder if it matters when Peacock King II is played off the cart instead.
