While not inherently a bad game, it suffers from a wide range of problems that combine to keep the good captain from reaching his full potential. There are some good ideas here, but sadly no amount...
I got an email from the author a few years ago. She's apparently in a legal dispute with the publisher, so it's been shelved.
In this excerpt from his forthcoming book, 100 Greatest Console Video Games: 1988–1998, author Brett Weiss takes another look at one of the most renowned shmups on the Genesis, Renovation's Gaiares....
After a four-year hiatus, the Sonic & Sega Fan Jam is back! A Kickstarter badge pre-sale has been launched for the event, which will be held in Marietta, GA this November. Get ready for the return of...
Sonic had several outings on the Master System, some good and some bad. Sonic Chaos falls somewhere in the middle. Seemingly more like basic training than a challenging adventure, the game never...
As long as it didn't run as slow as the Jaguar version, which was a PowerPoint slideshow, I'd love to play it.

I think they were willing to try anything new but quit once they found it wasn't worth the time. They started a multimedia studio that was quickly dropped and didn't embrace FMV as much as SOA did.
Where do you find Japanese newspapers? I'd love to see them!
Indeed it was.
Graphic artist Takeshi Doi worked on the animation, and he and Shinobi creator Yutaka Sugano did early versions that were revised to make them less Japanese-like.
Road Rash creator Randy Breen sat with us to talk about the landmark franchise on Sega's consoles, his time at Electronic Arts, and where he thinks the game industry stands today. It's a great,...
Castle of Illusion and QuackShot are revered by Genesis owners as two of the best platformers of the 16-bit era. European gamers were lucky to get a collection of both these great games late in the...
I have a Lynx II and 59 complete games. I love the system! It has a unique charm to it, and it's great that games continue to be released for it.
Received. Thanks!
No! I haven't used that one in a long time. I'll PM you the current one (it's also on the contact page).
When did you send the feature? I don't see it in my inbox.

I penned a review for the MS version of Vigilante. I'm thinking of doing an SG-1000 game next.
Were you able to submit your feature? If not, you can always email it to me. I'm planning on upgrading to a new theme, but there are some things we need to do with the forum first, and it's turned...
In this interview from the January 1996 issue of the Spanish video game magazine, Ultima Generación, Sega AM3 Producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi talks about porting Sega Rally to the Saturn and shares a bit...
I don't have a problem with ER being too familiar. I have a problem with it being a busted, unbalanced POS. Difficulty levels are all over the place, questlines are so vague From had to put markers...
I can't thank you enough for this! Setting it to a battle every 50 steps made the game enjoyable and I was able to play through to the end.
Battlemaster mixed action and strategy with less than stellar results, but there's still some merit in playing. The world is interesting, and there are some fun mechanics among the clumsy HUD...
Jo Montana was released in Janary 1991, so he may have misremembered something there or it may have been a bluff by SOA management. There were Genesis-related things going on at EA behind the scenes...
