I hear you, but it's a lot of time and effort to model the parts and then get them printed. I have a printer but it's down from a move, and without available models or the skill to model them myself,...

If anyone has a parts Nomad, I need one of each of the ABC and XYZ buttons for the Nomad, and a power switch (the red cover) if anyone has one. Let me know, thanks!
Anyone happen to have a Nomad that is truly unfixable or have drawers of spare parts? Specifically I'm looking for a couple of the buttons, one each of the ABC and XYZ buttons. If you can spare one...
Bought a parts unit Nomad from him. It came much faster than it was planned, and is exactly what I needed! Thanks!
You f'ing rock. Thank you!!!
I think I'll take it. I might have to wait til the next pay period to pick it up if that's ok with you, but I do want it. Just started a new job, and it's my first paycheck, which also happens to...
Drat. Well, thank you for checking.
Yeah. My 64 was in basically perfect shape. The joysticks weren't even messed up.
Hahaha, ahh, parts bags. :D Wish I had more parts. Wish I had more consoles. Alas, just a couple Model 1 Genesis units, an NES, an SNES, and a presently very bad shape N64 (in addition to my 360)....
Hey, does anyone happen to have an extra red slider that goes over the Sega Nomad's power switch? I'm in need of one.
I know the Game Gear slider also fits, but I'd much prefer to have the proper...
So, aside from your average eBay power supply, what are our plug and play power supply options for Genesis (Model 1 & 2), Nomad, and 32X? I'd ask about CD, except at this rate I don't think I'll ever...
My cousin's Model 2's power supply, a 2103, kicked the can, or moreover, kicked the cap - the 16V 3300uf capacitor leaked, and it appears to have caused more problems. I've managed to scrape away the...
Hey, I haven't seen any further response on this. Is there another thread, or have you just not have the opportunity to give that a go yet? Thanks!
This sounds amazing. It's something that's annoyed me enough about the current crop of Nomad mods to avoid doing it yet, despite having an LCD on hand. It's one of the reasons I love the McWill...
Ok, great, thank you! I guess I should start off with one of the known panels first, then, and experiment after I get a working setup.
Hey all,
So, I just bought a used Nomad on eBay, and I'm planning to do the LCD mod to it. One thing I'm not sure of before I buy - can I buy a higher res screen and have it scale up, or will it...
No, it's definitely DPST - as described in the wiki article (I had to check myself) they're equivalent to two SPST switches just tied together.
DPST because I wanted to use them (or, well, just one, anyway) to change the LED color for when I overclock. I got dual color Red/Blue LEDs for that job.
Toggle switches in the right way look...
Thanks Max, that's handy to know. I had thought about the hole I'd have to make for them, and I have a currently non-functional Dremel, so we'll see what happens. I'll probably get a cheap Sears...
So, I need a bit of help here, folks. I'm going to be installing a set of paddle switches that I picked up on eBay. I figured since I was having trouble finding some good DPST slide switches that...
Ah, thanks. I'll try to avoid cutting the trace if I can.
Who's glad she didn't start this yet? This chick! I'm gonna just sit here and look pretty until y'all finish sorting this out.
One of said buyers! :D Size matters not!
I'll mod you, meanie. :P
Well, sheila in this case, lol, but thank you for a useful response. :) My understanding was that you had to pull the RGB out from the chips and run them out...
Heh, well, I wish I had specialized tools like that! No such luck, though. I'm waiting on my desoldering braid to come in, which should be good enough for my needs. I plan on doing this once to this...
So, the general stuff that I've read indicates that you probably don't need to recap the board on the VA7s (well, unless they're obviously shot, which they aren't). Is that a correct assessment?
