Zip drive still looks cool 20 years later. I wonder what it was in focus testing groups or the technology itself that made Sega and Nintendo cool off the zip drives domestically. Even Nintendo...

As hardware goes, there was supposed to be a zip drive expansion by Iomega. Never got released commercially though. Remember planning to buy it on Day 1. Felt the same about the Nintendo 64DD years...

I've been interested in trying the AVS NES for a while. Do you have the wireless controller by chance? Is it any good? The shape kind of reminds me of Jaguar controllers.

From a brand prestige standpoint, I agree it definitely raised Sega's profile as a pioneer in the industry who's on the forefront of new technology. It was one of the hardware items many like to look...

Thanks for the insight, I personally didn't want to invest further in the Retron 5 after discovering how tightly cartridges get stuck in it. Feels like you're gonna break the cart or the system...

There was actually a 3-in-1 adapter for the Game Gear, Master System cartridges, and Master System Cards. It's around 60 dollars new. Don't own the adapter myself though, so can't comment how it is.

I remember enjoying their NBA games immensely. Bulls Vs Lakers and Bulls Vs Trail Blazers being instant reveries for EA on the Genesis.
  10. How do you feel the cancelled Vectorman reboot would have done commercially?

In 2003, a Vectorman reboot was being made for the PS2 (with the character looking a bit like Halo's Master Chief). Pseudo Interactive were behind the game's development, who created the 'Cell...

Great photos in this thread, there's something really visually appealing about the design scheme for the Sega Master System line. It's so simple yet exceptionally clean and aesthetic.

I recently watched the new My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising movie! Felt the lead villain 'Nine' was a complex, double edged character. Reminded me a bit of Magneto from X-Men. Wrote an in-depth...

It sounds great on the site, feel $500 is a steep price tag for a souped up NES though. It is very cool and exceptionally professional looking definitely tempting. I'm more waiting for the Analogue...

Anyone else hyped for Doom 64's rerelease? I thought it was awesome back in the day, ambient soundtrack by Aubrey Hodges was especially memorable and I always liked pre-rendered graphics.

Didn't receive this poster with any original Genesis release in the 90s. Maybe this was a store specific exclusive poster or a cross-promotion item? There was a 'Columns' cereal promotion in '92.
