Wow! I'm amazed at how much the layout changed. It really does prove that the new leaf carts are completely unique. Weird!

The other side of the chip is bare, just a normal flat side, nothing to note! So they had to be programmed through the main connectors, I see nothing that could "hook up".

You're correct about the Game Factory carts. I've gathered about 15 articles about New Leaf, one states that they manufactured "thousands" of cartridges before the license with (I assume sega?)...

Same here though, no experience with erasable ROM's. I don't know what state the Blockbuster left it in when they called off the program.
I'm gonna buy a Retrode and pull the ROM first.
