It was definitely rare, I don't know what the statistics were, maybe 1 in 5 American households had internet. Personally I didn't use the internet until 2000, and by 2003 was pretty familiar with all its capabilities.

But lets be real, the ones who used it in the mid 90s are the real OGs.

Only had an online PC at home since 2003 but been using online in school and at my mom's work which I was at often in 1994 on. I joined my first forum in 1996. First time buying something online in 1998 as well. First online video call I witnessed was early 1998. A teacher at school with her daughter in the school library was using a stand-alone mic and webcam to talk to someone across the country with a frame rate of maybe 2 per second.

Life!? ... What console is that on?

weird how different this is per nation. in the netherlands by the year 2000 almost all households had internet. it's also the most cabled country in the world.

In recent videos he's really putting more effort into presentation and less effort in pretending to be angry.

I have to admit, digging up the game from the cat litter box was funny.

So pepeman is basically paperboy minus the bike
    and projectiles.....
And I guess his gimmick was "bad luck"....
How does that equal to a marketing attribute?
Drink this soda and be like pepeman....hes
gonna take a bump and so should you!....
I suppose if the product sells itself who
    needs positive marketing....

Pretty cool that he was able to get the actual guy from the video game cutscenes. I wonder how hard that was to arrange?

Not sure what it was, but I actually enjoyed this one more than some of the other recent ones. Having the pepsiman guy in a costume reminded me of his older videos where he had spiderman, bugs bunny, the cowardly lion, etc.

But he had bigger stars in previous videos.
The best one was the home alone where he had
the actual pizza guy from home alone playing
    with him.
I was like wow he got two stars in
    this one episode!....
Then I realized....its just anybody in
    a costume.....
    And pepsiman isnt even real.

That wasn't the actor who played the Pizza guy from Home Alone. It was Macaulay Culkin who played Kevin in Home Alone. He dressed as Pizza Delivery guy for the joke that AVGN didn't recognize him. Pepsiman,Bugs Bunny,SPiderman and all of them were played by his best friend Mike. You see him on James and Mike Mondays.

And youíre right: itís quite nasty how all the glad-handing, pinheaded meatheads of the Internet will lap up the first salacious bit of gossip they hear and revel in the spectacle of someoneís life being ruined.
