If anything, Mr. Gimmick would be a great candidate for a Mega Drive port.

I'm still rooting for Super Metroid; I think it would look amazing on the Genesis.

I was meaning something like a port using Link to the Past graphics, but yeah that'd be cool.

If they could give Crusader of Centy the Sonic hack treatment they could make A Link to the Past hacks until the cows come home.

Port some SNES games to 32X and add some muscle.

Apparently it would need to run at 30fps if it was going to be a full screen 32X game. Snesies would have a hayday with that.

Even in 8-bit color? 256 onscreen colors ought to be plenty for most SNES games, even if the palette needs to be changed a bit. Plus you would have a lot more flexibility for each sprite/background layer.

There was a Star Fox port to the Mega Drive a few years ago, at least of the first level. If the source code for that is available that would be great for a 32X version with more polygons and higher framerate than the Super FX chip.

Hey I've noticed that the minus world is different, for different people, in Maitrus' 2010 game.

My version, minus world is a cool dry stage with a black sky.

There's a vid on YT of someone's minus world as a glitchy water stage.

A different vid shows a dry daytime stage.

Are there different known versions of Maitrus' 2010 game?

If so, does anyone know a good place to check out the different versions of it?

    Hi,
may I ask if it is confirmed that Maitrus' SMB Genesis port does it work on real hardware?
I have a clone (Retro-bit Gen X) and it doesn't work well (Mario is above the title screen...)

    Thank you!

Yep. Plays fine on original hardware with my Everdrive.

If I recall correctly, my original Everdrive actually came with the SMB rom among some other files, which kinda surprised me at the time.
