    Default Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Saban's group of teens never stops defending the Earth, no matter what type of gimmick they end up using. Lamentably, not swords, dinosaurs, police cars, or even magic is enough to make Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers enjoyable. Read our full review for more info.

Anywho, I have to say that the Sega CD version is a guilty pleasure of mine. It was just so cool.

I only ever played the SNES versions, regrettably. I wanted to try this since I thought it was crazy-rad that you could play as Megazord, but...well, it just didn't happen.

Well... Bandai's originally when it was known as ZyuRanger.

I remember playing one for the Game Gear, my friends and I took turns just busting through the levels and we were done pretty quickly.

Haven't all the games been released by Bandai?

The games are Bandai, as are the original rights to the show. Saban is just the company that brought us the Americanized version that we know as Power Rangers.

When this game came out, I was a huge Power Rangers fan. The first copy I bought was messed up, so I returned it and loved it for a long time.

The game was made by Banpresto, and it appears that Sega themselves has distributed.

PS. Banpresto is a divison of Bandai.

I have never ever played a Bandai game that was any good. I remember hating the Saturn Dragon Ballz game soooo much. Only in Japan could they get away with a title about dragon testicles.

    Bandai = teh suk.

I remember watching Power Rangers on television every day when I was eight years old, even though I didn't like it. Then some morons from Norway, who apparently were inspired by Power Rangers, killed a little girl when they were playing. So they stopped showing The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

I played the SNES game based on the Power Rangers movie, and I really didn't think that it was all that bad. Well, until you get to the one-on-one stages, anyway…

Hey, I loved it, watched it a bit when they changed series, discovered Sentai (the series of japanese shows Power Rangers is based on) and have been a Sentai fan since.

However, every game based on a Sentai has been the same recycled trash. Well, except for that Tokusatsu RPG that I heard was good.

Bandai's had a handful of half decent Gundam games. That's about it.

One reason to watch Power Rangers:

I'm ashamed to admit I'd already seen that video, David J. I had the sinking feeling while clicking the link that I'd be greeted with it, and there it was.

Overall, that was more entertaining in the long run than the game.

Edit: Is there any way to find the Evil Green Ranger code in the game itself? While I was playing it for the review, I finished the game at the highest level, but all I got was a picture of the Rangers in a Karate pose. Do you have to finish it without using a continue, or did Banpresto just expect everyone to start slamming buttons until they found the code? I still don't know why it wasn't enabled from the start. *Grumble*
