    Yes!! thats the one!

I have such fond memories of that one because a huge cardboard version of it hang in our local toystore.
(it hang in the staircase area, so as a young teen it was pretty impressing)

I'd love a high quality scan of that version, but one without wrinkles.

yeah, unfortunately I don't have anything nearly big enough to scan that. Is there a way that people get rid of the folds on these things?

This is how I've always done it.

As for scanning it.. I don't know, maybe some professional print shop has bigass scanners?

As some of you may know, I've been working very hard on a massive scan database for every video game, including their contents. My method for items larger than 8 1/2 x 11 is to make multiple scans with some overlay and piece them together in Photoshop. After the poster is pieced together, the Stamp Tool is a very effective method for removing the lines.

It's a lot more intricate than that considering you have to mess with color levels, rotate them, etc, etc, etc on each scan so they all match for the final image but you get the gist.

If somebody wants to scan in the poster at 600dpi, I would gladly piece it all together. Yes -- large files.

6 horizontal scans for larger posters(12 panel)
4 horizontal scans for smaller posters(8 or 9 panel)

Edit: Just a few rules for submitting images...

    1) NEVER put the edge of the poster against the edge of the scanner bed. Always leave a border.
    2) Do not close the lid of your scanner, instead use 6 white pieces of printer paper and a heavy book to flatten the poster. Remember to get the corners!
    3) Do not use the descreen option on your scanner. It is far easier to rotate with halftone dots present and afterword they will be taken out much more effectively in post processing using a series of filters.
    4) Leave default settings on your scanner. Do not change the contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc.
    5) I'm sure there's more.

Most of the pics from the .mac website is from old game mags. I have tons of those and brought back good memories.

If you guys are looking for poster or banner prints. I can get them done. I have worked in the sign industry for years now. My friend has a large format printer 54" x 150' printable.
If anyone is serious to get a well done poster, with supplied artwork, i'll get a quote for you.
I am in the USA if wondering. Many shops will not print due to copyright laws.

    Enjoy!
