Why not use an emulator? It's a lot easier... and almost all emus have Game Genie support so you can make codes.

P.S. If the infinite energy code makes the game a bit *too* easy, try using the second part of the code (ATMA-AA3T) by itself. Whenever you're hit, your energy goes down, but will slowly fill back up to full. But if you're hit too many times in a row, you will die.
