As I mentioned before, it looks like that debug code is NOT in the ROM. I'm pretty sure it's in the SRAM file. You might be able to hack your SRAM file... just look for a file with an extension of .SRM (ie. Super Mario All Stars.SRM). You'll probably want to go to offset $0007 and change it to "01" (with a hex editor). Make sure you make a back-up copy before you change it.

One problem you might have... whenever the game is saved, your hack might get overwritten.

KnightWarrior, it looks like the SRAM file for SMAS has checksum protection, so hacking it probably won't work without knowing how to correct (or bypass) the checksum.

There appears to be another code that's in the ROM area...

There are passwords that let you have no salary cap (see Gamefaqs.com).

Kunze, making an infinite stat points code is a little tricky because in order to exit the screen and save the player, the remaining stat points has to equal zero. The best I could do for right now is to make a code that makes each stat point remaining count as two. This will give you twice as many stat points. You will find that you can get as many points as you want by "cheating" a little with the code. When you add a stat point, one point is subtracted from you total, and two points are added to your stat. However, if you remove a point from a stat, only one point is subtracted from that stat. If you keep adding and subtracting from a stat, you can get as many points as you want. Just be careful though, because if you get too many points that way, you won't be able to exit and save (because the remaining stat points has to equal zero). If you get stuck and can't save your player, just exit the screen and start over.

Learn how to do it... it's easy. It took me about 3 minutes total for the SMAS debugger code.

thank you cause when i try to get the high paid players by trades and stuff it dont accept them or if i relase them even with a code i still some how go over the cap limit

I got a big question i was playing zombies ate my neighbors on 2 player for sega and i used the game genie i used get all keys once u have one and get all special items once you have some and i used almost infinite health and i used get infinite ammo once u have a gun and i used the infinite lives cheat the codes worked for both players but when i got on level 4 or 5 or something it gave me a error code what could the error code be about do i need diffrent game genie codes for the game so the error dont happen on that level
